Galloway Twp., NJ The Richard Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ College of New Jerseys Oratorio Society will perform Bachs Passion According to St. Matthew, Saturday, April 29 at the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Performing Arts Center.
Tickets are $8 for the general public, $6 for students and seniors with ID.
This is one of the greatest masterworks ever written for a choral presentation, said Dr. Beverly Vaughn, Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Professor of Music who will direct the event. This is Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾s first time presenting this oratorio and were pleased to bring it back to the area.
Vaughn said the event would feature the Â鶹´«Ã½ÍøÕ¾ Oratorio Societys 75 voice choir and special guest soloists, as well as a 22-piece chamber orchestra.
We have a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and community members making up this group, from Tuckerton to Cape May, Vaughn said. It is really a town and gown collaboration.
